I 'm lil' Hootie Don't Hate Cuz You Ain't Me. Yup, you gotta say the whole thing (like APimp Named Slick Back).
I grew up under the influence of Hip Hop. I don't predate Hip Hop however with Nas saying hip hop is Dead, I was worrying that I may have outlived it. I spent a lot of time over the last few years thinking about Hip Hop. Now I feel it times for me to speak on it.
Here I am going to answer some simple questions in hopes of clarifying where I am coming from. These answer will hopefully give some perspective to my post. I am down to debate these answers and will probably have to change some of these answer as my understanding and view of Hip Hop changes.
I am going to answer some questions regarding Hip Hop.....

Hip Hop is a Culture of Resistance. It is often describe as a subculture. I reject that notion.
Where did Hip Hop come from?
Hip Hop has always been here. It is as old as civilization..... Maybe that is a little confusing....... Hip Hop (as currently defined) was born in Seventies in the Bronx, a burro of the city of Cities. It comes from with in the Heart of Empire
Why Hip Hop?
Revolution and Resistance
How?

I understand these answers are short and simple and not very explanatory. But the plan is to go more in-depth with this blog and explain/discuss these answers.
Hopefully that made sense. Feel free to comment criticize or complain....
Peace!
